🧺 You need a clutter basket 🧺 This is proba 🧺 You need a clutter basket 🧺 This is probably a bit “off content” for me as I am not at all an organised person, but I read about this solution to immediately feel relieved of clutter recently and thought I’d share with all my parent friends on here! It actually also just works well for any household even if you live by yourself, so listen up. You dump everything in your “mors mandjie” that is giving you the irk. Keep this basket in the middle(ish) of your home for easy access. When said basket is full, your kiddos know it’s time to organise their things. This really helps me keep a calm space with a 4 and 6 year old (and my 37 year old big kid self). Hope this easy idea can help you too! 🔵🔴💛 Easy Lego Keychain DIY 💛🔴🔵 🔵🔴💛 Easy Lego Keychain DIY 💛🔴🔵 As with so many amazing things on the internet, I saw something similar on @pinterest recently and wanted to recreate it. This took me three minutes and cost ZERO Randelas because I had all the elements needed at home. You will need: Assortment of Lego Pieces needed for letter One base Lego with an opening or hole Keychain Ring Build your letter. Mount on Lego piece with hole. SUPERglue not wood glue your pieces if you want them to stay stuck together, or just leave as is for a mini Lego play session. And there you go! Fortunately it is pretty easy to build an “H” with this method, but I am sure you can get creative with the rest of the alphabet. Or even build a little personalised Lego man/woman figurine. I love visiting @babylonstoren and this addition to their farm is just a wonderful experience for kids and big kids like us. We loved it and so will you! 99% sure we bumped into Koos Bekker in the farm museum too. He was so sweet and patient with my children who asked him a million questions about the Rhino and Hippo skeletons in the displays. I usually make pavlova but decided to try another festive favourite this time, trifle! Of “Koekstruif” soos my Afrikaanse vriendinne haar ken 😜 Anyways, @wwtaste came to the rescue with this old recipe, and it was a TREAT! I added blueberries, cherries and store bought mini pavlova’s. Chef @carlajankelowitz from Bacco Estate prepared an inspired menu highlighting Zandam’s gorgeous cheeses and @baccoestate Italian wine varietals. Carla also managed to do this with a massive smile on her face and regular “pop ins” in to see how her 60 guests were doing. How incredible! These darling dainty candle holders are very unique, because they need a very special sized candle. Special as in super duper skinny and hard to find! Lo and behold, months after receiving these gems, I found the perfect candles to put in them, and at a shop in our local town none the less, @thistleandking ! 🌸 Budget Bouquet Tips 🌸 1. Local supermarke 🌸 Budget Bouquet Tips 🌸 1. Local supermarkets often have beautiful roses and tulips at a decent price, always check there first before going to a florist. Florists will usually charge more because they don’t buy large quantities at a time like supermarket chains. 2. Make your budget go further by adding foliage and flowers from your own garden. If you don’t have a garden ask your aunt/friend/granny if you can clip a few branches in their garden. 3. Opt for seasonal flowers rather than imported varieties, imported blooms will always cost more. This is unfortunately very hard to do in winter. 4. On that note, if you can support local flower farms that is first prize. If you can but directly from the farmer that is even better! 5. I like to pick out my own blooms to make sure they are the freshest, don’t be shy to ask your florist what the freshest flowers are. The fresher they are the longer they should last in the vase, more bang for your buck!
